Christian Living Keys, Breakthrough Principles and Spiritual Growth Resources
Christ’s work in you: “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus,” Philippians 1:6 (NIV).
Christ’s work through you: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing,” John 15:5 (NKJV).
Brief description of Christian keys, sorted by each topic:
Topic 1: Christian Fundamentals & Doctrine
Topic 1 has Christian resources on foundational Christian principles and doctrinal issues that separate the mainstream Christian beliefs from other religions and sects. A good spiritual growth source for beginners. Seasoned and grounded Christians will also find helpful resources from both textual and audio (MP3) formats.
Topic 2: General Christian Principles
Topic 2 has Christian resources that mainly cover on general Christian principles rather than specifics. Resources in this section mainly cover on life’s day-to-day experiences and how to deal with them from a Christian perspective. Examples include managing ones tongue, attitudes on pride, on humility, on worry, brokenness, Christian success (as opposed to worldly success), Christian persecution, etc.
Topic 3: Prayer, Fasting, Intercession, the Holy Spirit
Topic 3 is an important topic with breakthrough keys and principles. It has resources on Christian disciplines that constitute our most important weapons of warfare: prayer and fasting.
“Fasting is important, more important perhaps, than many of us have supposed,... when exercised with a pure heart and a right motive, fasting may provide us with a key to unlock doors where other keys have failed… a spiritual weapon of God's provision, mighty to the pulling down of strongholds,” Arthur Wallis (1922–1988, UK Bible teacher and author), in his book: God’s Chosen Fast.
“Prayer and fasting constitute our highest level of spiritual warfare and deliverance weapons. We bring matters before God in humble submission and seek him to deal with them by his power and might. Our major spiritual warfare is thus through occasional fasting, not by yelling at evil spirits in thin air and calling it spiritual warfare,” Eric Gondwe in his book Major Spiritual Warfare Principles: Biblical Do’s and Don’ts of Warfare.
Topic 4: Part A) Spiritual Warfare. Part B) Deliverance Ministry & Keys
Jesus Work Ministry has a divine mandate in this area of ministry. And thus it has created an extensive resource center on spiritual warfare, deliverance and healing. Powerful biblical principles on spiritual warfare, deliverance and healing have been published online to equip the body of Christ and to rescue captives from all doorways that Satan uses: deception, ignorance, sin and storms of life (when mishandled). Available as well are deliverance ministry and spiritual warfare audio sermons (in MP3 format) for download.
Topic 5: Christian Evangelism -Ministry to the World
Topic 5 has resources on the most important area of our calling as Christians. Evangelism, that is, sharing the gospel with unbelievers is a complex assignment in our complex era. Just as not all are called to priesthood, not all Christians are called to evangelize the same way. This section endeavors to equip Christians in the various ways they have been individually called to effectively evangelize or contribute to evangelism.
Topic 6: Body of Christ Ministry and Stewardship
Topic 6 has Christian resources on equipping believers rather than unbelievers. It is ministry to fellow Christians in the Body of Christ. Topics include dealing with stress and overload, helping (mainly through counseling) believers wounded in or outside battle (wounded spiritually, socially, materially, etc.). Wounded in battle is while in service, while outside is through falling, sin, compromise or ignorance. Other topics include church leadership, stewardship roles, and so on.
Topic 7: Family, Marriage, Singleness & other Social Areas
Topic 7 has Christian resources on social matters that we have to deal with nearly on a daily basis in our Christian lives. It has largely ‘how to’ resources on family, Christian marriage, Christian singles and other social areas. Some of the articles and MP3 audio files help to answer questions on Christian singles on how they are to effectively live with being single, for as long as God wills. Just as family and marriage has its privileges, Christian singleness has its own share of privileges and advantages.
And just as family and marriage has its challenges, singlehood has its own share. The secular media increases the challenges of singleness by playing on the senses of belonging and intimacy. Unfortunately the church is not free from the hype. Being a Christian single would be more fruitful if this social area received a balanced biblical teaching particularly from married Christian authors and ministers.
As Betty Vivian says, “The vast majority of single Christians are preached at almost entirely by married men.” Her booklet, titled Singleness and God’s Deliverance, is available online (free ebook), a highly recommended read for Christian singles. Through her trials and eventual deliverance, Betty Vivian concludes that, “My happiness lies not in my circumstances, but in my being in the centre of God’s will.” Marriage has been glamorized using selective scripture as the ultimate to happiness and completeness. This influences many Christian singles to constantly feel incomplete and unfulfilled in their singlehood.
Topic 8: Finances and Material Resources (Biblical Financial Prosperity)
Topic 8 has Christian resources on money matters. This topic is largely overstated or understated in the body of Christ. Some on one extreme have made money a symbol of Christian status and evidence of God’s blessings. You know them. Others on another extreme have made any desire for it as idolatry and worldliness. Both sides need a true biblical basis rather than reacting to modern day challenges in and outside the church. Topic 8 endeavors to provide keys to true financial prosperity.
Topic 9: Bible Study – Old Testament and New Testament
This topic has general bible study resources that cover on both the Old and New Testament. Specific scriptures are covered and studied. This section has in-depth study on specific scriptures.
Topic 10: Bible Study – Old Testament (coming soon)
Topic 10 has bible study resources that cover on both the Old Testament. Specific scriptures are covered and studied. This section has in-depth study on specific scriptures.
Topic 11: Bible Study – New Testament (coming soon)
This topic has bible study resources that cover on both the New Testament. Specific scriptures are covered and studied. This section has in-depth study on specific scriptures.
Topic 12: Bible Prophecy and the End-times
Topic 12 has Christian resources on the apocalypse, the end times. To some prophecy may seem like a minor topic not to bother with in their Christian lives. The bible says it is quite important. “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy,” 1 Corinthians. 14:1. The gift of prophecy is not primarily having visions, dreams and heavenly encounters. Some may have such and we won’t challenge that. The gift of prophecy is largely having the right understanding (enabled by the Holy Spirit) of scripture in regard to unfolding events throughout history, now and in the future. Fewer events surprise those that have the gift of prophecy in applying scripture on prophecy.
Topic 13: Other Topics >Church History, Academics (e.g. Computers, Business, Medicine, etc.) (coming soon)
Topic 13 has resources on all the topics that could not fit into any of the Christian topics above. Sub-topics will be made as more content is added.
